Empowering local organizations, our $500 Mini-Grant program is designed to fuel initiatives that enhance the wellbeing and safety of children in our community. Whether you're launching a new project or need support to expand an existing one, this grant provides the boost you need to make a lasting impact. Requirements

Micro-grants do not require a request for invitation and entities may apply for this grant at any time.

Eligibility:

Projects must promote the wellbeing, physical, and emotional safety of children in the community and be implemented by qualifying tax-exempt organizations.

Use of Funds:

Funds may not be used to support staff salaries, bonuses, benefits, travel expenses, or administrative/overhead costs associated with drafting the proposal.

Funds may not be used to purchase land or buildings or construct substantial buildings. However, they can be used in compliance with the Rotary Foundation's policies on construction or renovation.

These funds may not be used to reimburse projects already funded or underway.

Project Duration:

Projects must be short-term in nature and completed -implemented within 6 months of receiving the grant.

Public Acknowledgment:

Projects must be publicized as supported by the Rotary Club of the Riverbend.

Reporting:

The club requires a detailed report of expenditures and copies of receipts for expenses for reporting purposes.

Alignment with Rotary’s Mission:

Projects should align with the mission and values of Rotary International, particularly in areas related to child welfare, education, health, or community development.

Sustainability:

The project should have a plan for sustainability beyond the grant period, ensuring the impact can be maintained or grown without additional funding from the Rotary Club.

Community Involvement:

Projects should encourage community involvement or engagement, fostering a sense of local support and ownership.

Evaluation and Impact Measurement:

A clear plan for evaluating the project's success and measuring its impact on the targeted children or community should be included in the proposal.

Financial Accountability:

Applicants must provide a detailed budget and demonstrate financial responsibility, showing how the funds will be managed effectively.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations:

Projects must comply with all local, state, and federal laws, including obtaining any necessary permits or approvals.

Non-Discrimination Policy:

The project must adhere to a non-discrimination policy, ensuring that all children, regardless of background, have equal access to the benefits.

Risk Management Plan:

A plan for identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with the project should be included.

Capacity to Execute:

The organization must demonstrate the capacity to successfully implement and manage the project within the given timeframe.

Feedback Mechanism:

There should be a mechanism for collecting feedback from beneficiaries or the community to ensure the project meets its objectives effectively.
